Season & Tickets

Welcome to the 2013 – 2014 Season of Richmond Ballet

This year find yourself in six performances that promise to transport and dazzle you.

The lights come up and a light goes on. Suddenly, you are no longer distracted by work or family or life. Your eyes, ears and mind clear. Your body settles. The dancers move you in a way you never knew you could be moved. You are back being you. Connected to something much more important than deadlines, emails and current events. You are now part of the Richmond Ballet. Individual, independent, full of integrity. Like nothing else in the world. Just like you. No wonder, year after year, so many Richmonders find themselves at Richmond Ballet.

Richmond Ballet Dancer

Maggie Small

Maggie Small began dancing at The School of Richmond Ballet where she rose through the ranks of the school to become a trainee and an apprentice. While she was in middle school, Maggie also participated in Richmond Ballet’s Minds In Motion educational outreach program. She spent one year at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University before joining the Richmond Ballet company. For the past three summers, Maggie participated in the National Choreographer’s Initiative, has appeared periodically with VOICE Dance Company, and recently performed with Jessica Lang Dance at Jacob’s Pillow. She is beginning her eighth season with the Richmond Ballet.
