Lower Division Fall Classes

September 5, 2019 – May 31, 2020

The Lower Division features three levels of ballet instruction for students beginning at age eight.

Advancement through the Lower Division is based on a student’s level of skill and accomplishment, not his or her age.  The School’s faculty evaluates and places each student in the appropriate level.

Students in the Lower Division attend  ballet classes that incorporate barre and center work and have the option of adding jazz, tap, character dance, or theatre dance.

New students, with previous training, need to be placed by School of Richmond Ballet faculty prior to the start of the year, please contact Susan Collet.

One child ticket and one companion adult ticket to the Richmond Ballet production of Swan Lake at Dominion Energy Center are included with Lower Division ballet tuition. This ballet classic will be studied as part of class, and the students will watch a company rehearsal and learn about other aspects of the production.

All Lower Division students will perform in the School of Richmond Ballet Workshop in May.
