Trainee and apprentice programs

The purpose and function of The School of Richmond Ballet’s Trainee Program is to provide a transitional experience from the academic/ballet setting to that of a professional company.

In addition to participating in required dance classes assigned by the School Director, trainees take part in dress rehearsals and performances of the School and company, participate in community concerts, lecture-demonstrations, programs, receptions, photo sessions, and other public relations appearances and activities.
