PERFORMANCES:                                                                                                                                    We are excited to present four joint performances by The Royal Ballet School students and Richmond Ballet trainees and apprentices.  This spectacular mixed repertory program featuring so many talented young dancers is certainly not to be missed! The Royal Ballet School students are making only two appearances in America---here in Richmond and in New York City, where they will perform with the American Ballet Theatre junior company, ABT II. These are the stars of tomorrow, and this promises to be a once in a lifetime event, right here in Richmond!

MASTER CLASSES:

The Royal Ballet School Richmond residency will include two master classes for advanced ballet students age 14 and up taught by The Royal Ballet School staff onstage in the Richmond Ballet Studio Theatre.

Master Class Instructors                                                                                                                                                              Royal Ballet School Assistant Director Jay Jolley danced with Ballet West in Salt Lake City and with New York City Ballet before moving to the United Kingdom, where he danced with the English National Ballet and as a Principal Dancer with The Royal Ballet.

Gary Norman, senior classical teacher for The Royal Ballet School, was a principal dancer with the Australian Ballet, where he performed all the major classical roles and was acclaimed by critics and audiences alike. He also appeared as a principal guest artist with the National Ballet of Canada and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Prior to taking his current position at The Royal Ballet School, Norman was principal ballet master for the Australian Ballet.



Cost: $25 to participate
         $10 to observe
