2016 Culminating Performance

The Gift: Ecology In Motion

Featuring over 1300 students from area schools, this joyful culminating performance is one of the signature events of the Richmond Ballet calendar each year. Alongside our professional company dancers, students brought the story of The Gift to life, which follows a young boy and girl as they explore the gifts that nature can bring to the human world, and what may happen should mankind fail to preserve such precious gifts. Inspired by Doug Tallamy and his work in entomology, ecology and wildlife conservation, The Gift reminds us that we all possess the power to make a difference in the health of our planet.
