RICHMOND BALLET ANNOUNCES NEW HIRES, PROMOTIONS, FOR 30th ANNIVERSARY SEASON Richmond Ballet and Richmond Ballet II welcome new faces  RICHMOND, VA – Richmond Ballet is pleased to announce that both Marty Davis of Los Angeles, California, and Elena Bello of Jersey City, New Jersey, have been invited to join the Ballet’s professional company for the 2013-14 season. CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA-  Hot on the heels of Charlottesville’s 250th Anniversary, Minds In Motion students presented Celebrate Charlottesville! All fourth graders from the six Charlottesville City Elementary schools jumped into the history of their city. They returned to the time of the Monocan Indians, hunting along the Rivanna River. The first grid of the city was laid out in the same place as today’s famous Downtown Mall. Of course Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and James Monroe made an appearance. RICHMOND, VA – Celebrating its 18th year, Richmond Ballet’s Minds In Motion will present its end-of-the-year performances May 3-5 and for the first time in its history, the free culminating performances will be held at the beautiful Carpenter Theatre at Richmond CenterStage.
